Halloween Punks

Here we are at our age and we are finding ourselves. Only kidding. Went to a Halloween Party on Saturday night and had a great time. Friends from elementary school. It was crazy. Everyone was dressed. Me and Joey had better costumes then the kids. They dresses as bums. James won his championship soccer match. It lasted 2 1/2 hrs. on election night. Went into over time 2 -10 minutes periods. Andrew had another great season in football 8-1. Last game of the season and they lost 14-12. What a tear jerker. You know me, shed a tear for the boys. They were very upset. All in all we had a better record then any in the county. So they can be proud.

New Jersey Fall Colors

Well as you can see Fall is here. Last weekend was absolutely beautiful. James and Andrew both had games and did well. James though split his chin open at the ice rink Friday night and I spent a little time (really, 90 minutes)in the ER to get 4 stitches. Must be a new record. Today it got back to a cold 30 degree morning with the wind blowing. This picture for those of you who don't know, is my back yard. Nice huh?

Road Trip to Boston

Well here we go on our family vacation to Boston. Mind you we made no reservations for a hotel. I worked the weekend and checked out a couple hotel addresses and wrote them down "just in case". We made good time-4 hours and got into the city about three o'clock. Now to look for a hotel. If you've ever been to Boston, the main highway is in the tunnel. So we kept passing the city cause we were always underground. Tensions got quiet high in the car. So I pulled out my trustee hotel addresses and we ended up miles away from downtown Boston but an available room with a pool. It ended up being a dumpy hotel. The toilet clogged up in the morning and when I went to call the front desk the phone kept hanging up. The positive was the restaraunt next door had great cod cakes. So we packed up and drove into the city and parked the car. To tour the city you can walk the freedom trail or trolley around and stop where ever you want within its route, which are most of the historical sites. We went to Paul Revere's house and passed the old north church and then to the USS Constitution. Andrew's favorite stop was the Garden where the Boston Celtics play as well as the Bruins. We took a tour inside and they also have a museum as well. The later part of the day we were by the public gardens and park. Stopped in a couple of hotels to see if they had an available room, yeah for $379/night. The day wasn' t looking good at all for a place to stay in the city. We went back to Quincy Market and walked around. Had a drink at " Cheers" walked some more and thank God we found a hotel two blocks from the Market -The Hilton .
Slightly cheaper and a whole much cleaner, nicer then the Ramada. The next day we went to the Aquarium and then went whale watching. That was cool. We saw 7 sperm whales all together. The trip took four hours. We ended up staying another night to relax and had a fun dinner at the market called Dicks Last Resort. You have to be rude. The waitresses are. They make hats and write funny things on them and surprise you as they put it on your head. There's a picture of James and Andrew eating Peanut Butter Pie at the restaraunt.

SWEAT, RAIN AND MORE SWEAT

Well I know that I haven't blogged in a while. Life as usual always seems to zip by, usually because we're working and/or I'm working the weekend. So me and Joe had a three day weekend. We thought long and hard on what we could do. There are so many projects that need to get done in the house. Believe it or not we still have painting to do from the build, but have no desire to ever pick up another paint brush again. The weather here has been almost like Seattle. It rains almost every day, sometimes really hard with strong winds. We took the kids to Par Hills High School on the 4th for fireworks. First they started earlier than

usual and it started pouring 5 minutes into them. Oh!! lets get back to our project.
As you can see by the pictures we put down a little paver patio so that we can enjoy the fire pit. The log bench Joey made when one of the trees fell. Jeoy did most of the heavy labor, but the boys did help with getting the pavers and I did some weeding on the slope. A couple of hours into the work it started pouring rain. The kids thought that was fun because we just kept working . Come the end of the day our clothes and shoeswere wet and muddy

Montana Gathering

Well, I cant say how long it took me to figure out how to get these pictures on the blog, but I finally did it. This week was crazy to say the least. Getting back in the swing of daily life is always difficult after being away. The boys are in full gear with lacrosse and James is getting ready for his school play that is on May 16th and 17th. Today Joey is riding in the five borough NYC race with his buddies . After being the mom while I was away, he sure needs this. I sure miss you all already. Hard not having family close by but hopefully one day we'll change that.

Andrews Story

March 13th,2008
Accident

James's friend Kyle was on the trampoline with me. I have a basketball hoop hooked up to the trampoline so we can play basketball on it. Its so much fun. Anyways, we were double bouncing me and he double bounced me so high my knees skidded the top of the rim and hit the backboard. If that hoop wasn't there I could have flew of the trampoline and broke, fracture or sprained something. Even worse I could have gotten paralyzed and even DIED! My mom freaked out. Luckily she didn't see it. All my dad could say is " He was up there".

Dont try this at home please im begging you.PLEASE.Especially you Aunt Peggy, I know your ways. :)

The unexpected drop in

Look who visited my house. Adeena was in Pennsylvania for business and spent the night before going back home. The boys were really excited to have somebody on my side of the family come and see us. She looks good. Too bad she couldn't stay longer, but it was nice to have her for a visit. The boys started Lacrosse (lax) this past week. back to a busy schedule of practice 4 nights a week.

The Black Cloud

All of us (except me) has had a health issue this past week. Oops, I take that back. Me too!!!I went for my second but really third mammogram. My first one was ridiculous. I'll just bypass that story. My girlfriend says we'll go together. she worries about me. So on our way to a staff mtg (read my first blog) last month, Monique and I go out to dinner have a cosmo(liqours me up) and go have my mammo before the staff mtg. All went well. Usually I keep my mouth shut, but the cosmo loosened me up. I said my peace and hopefully our chief heard our concerns. So Than Andrew came down with strept throat last Thurs. Ok Not so bad, right? Friday Joey starts complaining of a tooth ache and Sat he goes to the dentist ????root canal maybe watch and if any pain go to the ENDODONTIST, Monday he is in pain so he calls, can't see him until Thurs. Patience as I always tell my children. Tuesday "MY DAY OFF' I go to the hospital for "additional views" which means my mamogram was incomplete, so I spend two hours having my boobs squished some more and handled and ultrasounded, come the end all is well and I get to repeat this again next year. So looking foreward to it. I get ready for work early Wed. morning and I get greeted by James shivering and shaking with a fever. He's been home the past two days. Today Joey went to the Endodontist and had a root canal. He feels numb but better, James is back to school tomorrow and Andrew is almost finished with his antibiotic. For me, my upper half is sore but they are back to there bouncy selves. Oh and by the way though it is February, our temperature has been in the 50's-60's and raining, hence "Black Cloud"

The Big New York Giants

The New York Giants finally won the Super Bowl in a great finish.17-14.The Giants ended the patriots undefeated record making them 18-1.The Giants record including the playoffs is 13-6.They won on a catch by Plaxico Burress.(#17).Eli(easy)Manning(#10) had a great game. They set records. They made the biggest upset in sports history.Giants David Tyree caught the Super Bowls best play in history. On the Giants first drive. They set another record. They had 4 straight third down conversions.Super Bowl Record. The previous record was 3 straight third down conversions. Also, its the first time brothers have won the Super Bowl. Peyton won last years Super Bowl verses the Chicago Bears. This year Eli won the Super Bowl against the Patriots. AMAZING! The Giants had their parade today
(2-5-08).
This house went crazy. We were all so happy. My mind still can't believe that the Giants won the Super Bowl. They were the underdog and they still won. They knew that there were many more fans going for the Patriots because they were the obvious team. What's that supposed to mean? I'm mean really! OBVIOUS TEAM. Co'mon.
Bye!
GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!
CAUTION:This may cause happiness, excitement or may just drive you nuts.If this does happen CALM THE HECK DOWN or rest and drink fluids.

My Life as a 7th grader

Hi everbody, life is okay. If you don't count school, Andrew and....yeah thats pretty much it. School is going okay. Math is Hard(Always),English is just getting to confusing, and Spanish has hit rock bottom. Well at least i have the best class in every period. Whats new in life is this, i'm starting Lax in March and i'm trying out for the school play(Grease) and making freinds(hard to do when the kids act like gangsters and rappers SCARY!!!!) I also poked my foot with a pencil by accident. Can't walk on it right now but getting better. All i do after school is sit at a babysiter's house(boring). For X-Mas i got a X-Box360 with Call Of Duty 4 and Medal Of honor(all war games)Dad says i'm good at it :) Mom gets home at like 8 and dad comes and gets us at 5:30. All my freinds are weird in a good way. My freind Alexis does this weird thing on my knee (AKWARD!) then Claire trys to steal my sweatshirt, i get it back. This was all on Friday. So right now i'm just sitting around like a bum just waiting the school year out(please just stop it :( . Playin' airsoft just for fun and trying to get B's really hard, cause of my teachers. My science teacher(old) Mr. Z is getting a knee replacment. We got a new vice pricepal Mr. Delala, or what i like to call him Mr. D or Mr. Diddylala. So my life is just same old. One More thing........... GO RENEGADES!!!!! WoHooooooooo(Lax)

Carolyns wacky world

Well here I am in the bloggers world. Sorry to say peg I'm not going on any trips, the only trip I go is down route 80 4 days a week. Work at the hospital is at it's lowest. Morale is bad. Very Very Very bad. Even me, Miss Positive, Miss what's wrong and we'll make it right, has had it. We have a staff meeting on Wednesday and I have a list of complaints. This is a first for me after working there 16+ years. The others nurses can't believe I'm pissed now. We started a new paperless charting system 2 months ago. the program is from Israel. When we have a problem, and we have many who do you think we have to call? you got it Israel. Our deliveries are way up and our staffing is pitiful. We've lost 4 seasoned nurses who have just had it and either retired early or transferred to another floor. I hope it gets better soon.

The office for me is a calmer situation. Dr Iammatteo would not agree with me. It's totally opposite for him. I do a multitude of things. Answer phones., call pts with results, schedule surgeries, and alot of trouble shooting, but most important I am gauranteed lunch and a bathroom break.

On my days off, which have been few lately(Its a miracle Joey hasn't left me already) I clean the house and try to play as much piano as I possibly can. I took a couple of piano lessons from the place I bought my piano from but the guy was more into interpretive/chord theory. So I play with the books that I had and Peg sent me some of Moms and my old books. Hopefully I can find somebody to teach me more so I can get better but be flexible with my work schedule since I never work the same days each week.

Andrews Life

Well,I ended football in the first week of November. My team had a football banquet.During the banquet I got a plaque for Unsung hero Award,it means I would do what ever the coach wanted me to without any arguments. One player every year on my team gets it and I got it this year.I just started basketball about 2 weeks ago.My team is 0-2.Everyone says im the best player on the team.I've been airsofting with my friends.Incase you dont know what it means, we have these fake guns that shoot lil plastic pellets which can hurt sometimes. Its alot of fun.I've been hanging out with my friend Carly alot. She lives in this neighborhood not even a minute away.My brother James hangs out with her older sister which is a year younger than James. My mom gets really annoying when she plays the piano. Its like, one minute im watching TV and the next second all I can hear is these notes. That reminds me,I started playing the Drums during the beginning of the 4th grade year.Im in the 4th grade.Im almost in band!I just have to get to page fourteen.Im on thirteen. The pages are pretty hard! Also,I have to learn bells with it.That im on page ten.Thats super super super super hard!!!!!Well, thats my life so far.I got some killer jokes you need to hear to brighten up your life!
