Halloween Punks
Here we are at our age and we are finding ourselves. Only kidding. Went to a Halloween Party on Saturday night and had a great time. Friends from elementary school. It was crazy. Everyone was dressed. Me and Joey had better costumes then the kids. They dresses as bums. James won his championship soccer match. It lasted 2 1/2 hrs. on election night. Went into over time 2 -10 minutes periods. Andrew had another great season in football 8-1. Last game of the season and they lost 14-12. What a tear jerker. You know me, shed a tear for the boys. They were very upset. All in all we had a better record then any in the county. So they can be proud.

New Jersey Fall Colors
Well as you can see Fall is here. Last weekend was absolutely beautiful. James and Andrew both had games and did well. James though split his chin open at the ice rink Friday night and I spent a little time (really, 90 minutes)in the ER to get 4 stitches. Must be a new record. Today it got back to a cold 30 degree morning with the wind blowing. This picture for those of you who don't know, is my back yard. Nice huh?

Road Trip to Boston
Well here we go on our family vacation to Boston. Mind you we made no reservations for a hotel. I worked the weekend and checked out a couple hotel addresses and wrote them down "just in case". We made good time-4 hours and got into the city about three o'clock. Now to look for a hotel. If you've ever been to Boston, the main highway is in the tunnel. So we kept passing the city cause we were always underground. Tensions got quiet high in the car. So I pulled out my trustee hotel addresses and we ended up miles away from downtown Boston but an available room with a pool. It ended up being a dumpy hotel. The toilet clogged up in the morning and when I went to call the front desk the phone kept hanging up. The positive was the restaraunt next door had great cod cakes. So we packed up and drove into the city and parked the car. To tour the city you can walk the freedom trail or trolley around and stop where ever you want within its route, which are most of the historical sites. We went to Paul Revere's house and passed the old north church and then to the USS Constitution. Andrew's favorite stop was the Garden where the Boston Celtics play as well as the Bruins. We took a tour inside and they also have a museum as well. The later part of the day we were by the public gardens and park. Stopped in a couple of hotels to see if they had an available room, yeah for $379/night. The day wasn' t looking good at all for a place to stay in the city. We went back to Quincy Market and walked around. Had a drink at " Cheers" walked some more and thank God we found a hotel two blocks from the Market -The Hilton .
Slightly cheaper and a whole much cleaner, nicer then the Ramada. The next day we went to the Aquarium and then went whale watching. That was cool. We saw 7 sperm whales all together. The trip took four hours. We ended up staying another night to relax and had a fun dinner at the market called Dicks Last Resort. You have to be rude. The waitresses are. They make hats and write funny things on them and surprise you as they put it on your head. There's a picture of James and Andrew eating Peanut Butter Pie at the restaraunt.

SWEAT, RAIN AND MORE SWEAT
Well I know that I haven't blogged in a while. Life as usual always seems to zip by, usually because we're working and/or I'm working the weekend. So me and Joe had a three day weekend. We thought long and hard on what we could do. There are so many projects that need to get done in the house. Believe it or not we still have painting to do from the build, but have no desire to ever pick up another paint brush again. The weather here has been almost like Seattle. It rains almost every day, sometimes really hard with strong winds. We took the kids to Par Hills High School on the 4th for fireworks. First they started earlier than
usual and it started pouring 5 minutes into them. Oh!! lets get back to our project.
As you can see by the pictures we put down a little paver patio so that we can enjoy the fire pit. The log bench Joey made when one of the trees fell. Jeoy did most of the heavy labor, but the boys did help with getting the pavers and I did some weeding on the slope. A couple of hours into the work it started pouring rain. The kids thought that was fun because we just kept working . Come the end of the day our clothes and shoeswere wet and muddy

Montana Gathering
Well, I cant say how long it took me to figure out how to get these pictures on the blog, but I finally did it. This week was crazy to say the least. Getting back in the swing of daily life is always difficult after being away. The boys are in full gear with lacrosse and James is getting ready for his school play that is on May 16th and 17th. Today Joey is riding in the five borough NYC race with his buddies . After being the mom while I was away, he sure needs this. I sure miss you all already. Hard not having family close by but hopefully one day we'll change that.
